Virgin Formula 1 driver Lucas di Grassi ended a trying 2010 season on a high by emerging victorious in Felipe Massa's annual International Challenge of Go-Kart Champions in Brazil.
Di Grassi defeated Massa and Pizzonia to win the opening heat on Saturday night, but had to retire from leg two on Sunday morning following a clash with Pizzonia.
However Massa was only able to finish 11th in that race, as rising IndyCar star Beatriz - the sole female driver in the event - surged through from 11th on the grid to beat Barrichello to the win.
That left di Grassi, Beatriz, Barrichello and Massa all equal when the scores from the two legs were added together, with di Grassi awarded the overall victory on a tie-break.
This year current F1 racers Rubens Barrichello, Massa, di Grassi, Jaime Alguersuari and Bruno Senna joined ex-grand prix men Christian Fittipaldi, Ricardo Zonta, Antonio Pizzonia, Enrique Bernoldi and Luciano Burti, plus IndyCar aces Tony Kanaan, Helio Castroneves, Ana Beatriz and Vitor Meira in the field.
Lucas,deserves all the good:
