With the 2012 Formula One season looming every closer, Hispania Racing has announced that Pedro de la Rosa will be joining the team in 2012 under a two year contract.
“This is a very important step in my sporting career and one of the most meditated ones I’ve taken. I’m at a very good stage in terms of maturity and am prepared to take on this challenge..." de la Rosa stated in a media release.
Coming shortly after a fantastic week of young driver's testing, HRT's announcement brings a sense of urgency to many of the drivers. With teams starting to confirm their 2012 line ups, there appears to be too many drivers for too few seats.
Fans across the world are now finding themselves fervently searching the Internet and team sites looking to see if their 'favourite driver' has been confirmed for 2012.
