2010 Season Review In Pictures. Part Two: Turkey To Valencia

6 races in, and no driver or team has pulled away from the pack.  Three teams and six drivers still questioning what was going to happen.  The first 6 races where on even playing grounds. A few races left until the circuit hit Europe.  Team would now start to run hard to gain what lead they could. Quotes from Martin Brundle and others.

Along with the build up for the Turkish Grand Prix,  Ferrari released a new livery for their cars. That race weekend, Ferrari will have entered in 800 Grand Prix weekends.

Turkish GP, lowest ticket sales, highest action race.

“Formula 1 cars are like driving an E-type Jag: you’ve really not got a lot of idea where the front of them is.”

 Lap 40, turn 12...
“You can tell that [Red Bull] pair anything you like; they’re gonna do what they want right now.”

“If (Vettel) thinks his team mate messed up, he could come and throw his crash helmet at him as he comes past the pits or something – give us a bit of fun!”

Reflecting back on his results of the two previous years in Canada, Kubica hides his emotions well.

“We’ve seen [the surface] breaking up in previous years but whatever they’ve put down now has all of the qualities of polished marble.”
After a year of desertion, the Canadian Grand Prix had packed stands and sold every single ticket available in general admission. the Canadian fans sorely missed the sport.
Fans come in many different shapes and sizes and ages alike. The grand prix of Europe gave us the image of this little boy. Propped up on his father's shoulders, (seen right) the crowds at the driver's signing session.
2010 we saw the Lotus name back in the paddock. We also got to celebrate Lotus' 500th Grand Prix weekend in Valencia.

Valencia also gave us the most terrifying crash in recent history.  Lap 9, Webber following Kovalainen into turn thirteen, caught the back of the Lotus and sent him airborne.
“You never want to fly in a Formula 1 car.”
Fans alike across the globe watched in amazment as Mark Webber removed himself from his ruined RB6.

"The impact was pretty solid. I actually snapped the brake pedal clean in half with my left foot,"
