2010 Season Review In Pictures. Part Four: Hungary to Italy

With the season now over the midway point, Red Bull seemed to have a slight lead as Constructor's favourites but no one driver had pushed ahead. Vettel, Button, Hamilton and Alonso with 2 wins a piece, Webber was only one ahead with 3 wins. As Red Bull seemed to be falling ever more apart, McLaren was pulling together and Ferrari?  Well.....  Quotes by Martin Brundle and others.

The year previous, fans witnessed what was nearly a tragic day for Formula One. One year later, Massa meets the men and women who saved his life.
With scars still visible, Massa prepares for the weekend.

“... The skid marks are still there at the top of the hill.”
Lap 60. May be the feeling of being lapped had played on his nerves combined with the notion of losing the last WDC point for the race, Schumacher does the unthinkable.
It was not just the front runners that gave the fans and awe inspiring sight. Alguersuari, with a blown engine and a photographer in the right place gave on e fantastic image.

“Alguersuari driving as if his life depends on it.”

Rain in the forecast and water on the tarmac made for some incredible images of Spa.
A photographer's dream.

Along with teams hitting milestones in the 2010 season, Rubens Barrichello celebrated his 300th Grand Prix weekend.

Second podium finish of the season, Kubica showed that Renault has what it takes.

“Kubica’s moving into world class status now; I think he’s joined the very exclusive club.”

The 2010 Italian Grand Prix Weekend belonged to one man and one man only.  Fernando Alonso. He took home the triple crown for Ferrari, fastest lap, pole and the win.
Many Italian fans where patriotic that weekend, cheering for their Italian counterparts in the paddock. But Ferrari was not the only Italian there.
The weekend it's self had a dark shadow cast over it. Ferrari was handed their summons to the World Motorsport Council meeting. It was on the tongues of every single media member.                                           “I’ve got a snowball in hell’s chance of talking to Fernando Alonso.”

Even with the shadow cast, the fans arrived, by the thousands.
