Unlike previous days in testing, there were no true red flags. A few times cars and their driver's were seen to stop on track but there were no accidents.
With a time of 1:23.820, Sauber's Sergio Perez was one of the two unlucky driver's that had stopped out on track. Shortly before the lunch break, Perez stopped his C31on track due to a fuel shortage. Not exactly a shortage but the team ran the car dry in to determine the fuel range.
With a total of 123 laps done today and finishing 9th on the lap board, Vitaly Petrov was the second driver to stop on track. With only 15 minutes left on the time, Petrov parked his CT01 on track. It was a good day all in all though for Caterham as Petrov ended his running only1.624s off the top spot with a 1:24.876.
