Day four of testing saw the red flag come out on three separate occasions as both Sauber and McLaren running their fuel tanks dry in the final fifteen minutes. The only true red flag was brought out by Paul di Resta in the VJM05 when he went off track at the outside of Campsa before the lunch break.
Caterham just doesn't seem to be catching a break this season testing. After winning 10 spot in the 2011 Constructor's Standings, the day saw Heikki Kovalainen with his CT01 in pits for an engine change during the morning session (but was able to run the afternoon to recover with a full 70 laps).
Marussia F1 did not run at all during the final day of testing as a damaged part on the MVR02's right rear suspension required investigation. With no definitive answers before the mid-afternoon Marussia decided to bring an early end to its test schedule, cutting Timo Glock's running.
